A local concierge for the hardest part of moving
Simple Moves is a move coordination service based in St. Louis, Missouri. We built it around a simple observation: hiring a moving truck isn't the hard part of a move. The hard part is everything around the truck — the sorting and packing, the donation pickup, the junk haul, the cleaning, the elevator reservation, the new home that needs to be livable on night one — and the fact that each of those jobs belongs to a different company that doesn't talk to the others.
Simple Moves is the one coordinator who talks to all of them, in the right order, on one written plan — so a family doesn't have to.
What we are — and what we are not
We are coordinators
We take the intake, build the written move plan, schedule every provider, confirm every date in writing, run move day, and follow up afterward. Our only charge is a flat coordination fee, quoted up front.
We are not a moving company
We don't own trucks and we don't transport household goods. Licensed local moving companies and other providers do the physical work. You contract with them — and pay them — directly, and they stand behind their own work.
We are not paid by the hour
Traditional move managers bill $60–$125 an hour, which means a hard week for your family is a bigger bill for you. Our fee is flat and fixed in writing before you book, the same whether coordination takes us six hours or sixteen.
We are not paid a percentage
Simple Moves never takes a percentage of your move, never marks up provider prices, and never collects a provider's deposit. Our income doesn't grow when your move gets more expensive.
How we vet the providers on your move
Before a company goes on a Simple Moves quote, we check the things a family would check if they had the time:
Authority
For movers: state operating authority for Missouri household-goods moves (MoDOT), verified before they're quoted on a job.
Insurance
A current certificate of insurance on file for every partner, refreshed as certificates renew.
Fit for the work
The right crew for the job — senior-community move-in rules, stairs and elevators, fragile and high-value items, tight timelines.
Vetting is a standard, not a guarantee: providers are independent businesses, responsible for their own crews, work, and claims. What we promise is that the checking happens, the paperwork is on file, and if a provider stops meeting the standard, they stop appearing on our quotes.
Who we built this for
Our first customers are the families we kept hearing about: adult children trying to run a parent's move from another city; seniors leaving a home of thirty years for a community across town; executors settling an estate while grieving. Those moves fail in the gaps between companies, and they are exactly the moves a coordinator exists for.
At launch, we coordinate moves where both homes are in Missouri. If you're not sure whether your move fits, ask us — you'll get a straight answer either way.
